Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, I would appreciate the guidance of the scholars and knowledgeable members in this group regarding the following matter. I have accounts with two different banks. With Bank A, when I keep or save money in the account for a period of time, certain charges are deducted, which reduces the amount of money I have. With Bank B, however, when I keep money in the account, the bank adds a certain percentage or amount to my savings over time. My intention is simply to keep my money safe without it being increased or reduced. I do not want to benefit from any additional amount added by the bank, nor do I want my savings to decrease through unnecessary charges. One solution I have considered is keeping my money with Bank B and, whenever the bank adds any amount to my account, giving out the exact amount added. However, I am unsure whether this is the correct approach. I would therefore sincerely appreciate guidance from the scholars on the best way to handle this matter according to Islamic teachings.
